Classic Apple Pie
Ingredients:
2/3 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons flour
1 cup Tofutti Better Than Sour Cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 vegan egg replacer (equivalent 1 egg)
3 cups peeled, sliced tart apples
2 9" unbaked vegan pie shells (chilled for 30 minutes prior)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Beat together Tofutti Better Than Sour Cream, sugar, flour, salt, vanilla, and egg substitute. Add apples, mixing carefully to coat well. Put filling into a pie shell. Slice the second pie shell into strips and place on top in a lattice pattern.
Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. Let cool for 1 hour before serving.
